At least 64 people were injured in a tanker bombing in northern Nigeria

A tanker truck exploded on fire at a gas station in the capital of Cana city, fire department spokesman Saminu Abdulahi said in a statement Wednesday. Firefighters rushed to the scene after receiving the alarm, and eight firefighters were injured during the fire fighting.

The investigation revealed that at least 64 people were injured and none were killed.

Abdulahi called on the public to strengthen security awareness and call the police in time when a fire happened.
